Fuji - Evaluation

The above image show my final image. The idea behind this was that this was the 'extremes' of drinking, my image aims to show what binge drinking can do. The first image shows my model all nice and dressed up before she goes out, she then begins drinking - the middle image - and then her night end with her on the floor in a drunken state (the last image). I believe my image fits the aim that I was intending on. I used photoshop briefly purely to place my 3 images closer together.

I like my final image because I think it completes the aim that I set. I like how because I have used the studio to photograph my model instead of potentially photographing her on an actual night out it makes the images stronger as there is no background to focus on so you focus solely on the model and what the image is trying to portray.

I dislike my final image as it was slightly rushed as my model was late and I only had the studio for a set amount of time. I also dislike how the 3 images aren't at the same level as I don't like the way it makes the image unsymmetrical and in my eyes, look slightly messy. I also think I could have possibly portrayed the idea slightly more than I did.

If I were to do this again I would make sure I had enough time in the studio to experiment with a variety of shots and so that I wouldn't be rushed in what I was trying to achieve. I also would also plan my shot fully so I knew exactly what I was doing within the time limit that I had. However overall I am happy with my final image.

Fuji - final images

The two images above show my experimentation by overlaying various negatives. Each image of my model is from an individual negative. I created these images by exposing each negative seperately onto the photo paper, I covered the parts of the photo paper that I didn't want exposed with the black out card in the studio. The top image was my first attempt and I didn't like the way the last image was darker and had a line through it which was from where I'd used the black out card. The second image will be my final image however I will use photoshop to make all three of the images closer together.

This is one of my negatives exposed seperately.

This is a test strip I created, I exposed it for 3 seconds each. I chose to expose my images for 12 seconds as this looked best using the results from my test strip.
